Ms. Vickie Williams
I currently teach ninth graders Geometry and tenth graders Algebra I. I have two math labs this year where we are working on STEAM projects as well as reviewing topics for their upcoming ACT test as juniors. I am a mentor for the Tribe of Encouragement and the advisor for the math honor society, MU ALPHA THETA. I worked as a waitress at Shoney's in Athens, Alabama the summer before I started college. After college, I worked as a round collar girl at TJ Manufacturing in Florence, Alabama. Then I got a job as a substitute teacher teaching math here at Cherokee doing maternity leaves for the current math teachers. The following school year, I got my first full-time teaching position at Colbert Heights and taught there for nine years. Next, I moved to Auburn, Alabama and taught at Russell County High School for six years. I then moved back home and got a job teaching here at Cherokee High School and this will be my eleventh year this year. I have two younger brothers and both of my parents are still living. I have one son, of whom I am very proud. I have a cat and love animals.
