Hi! My name is Angie Pickens. This is my 12th year teaching high school science classes. This is my 2nd year at Cherokee HS! I am so excited! I teach Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Human Anatomy & Physiology. I have also taught Biology at Auburn University Montgomery and Dyersburg (TN) State Community College. I have been an Upward Bound science tutor for Northwest Shoals Community College. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Physical education/Health. Both degrees are from the University of North Alabama. I am a mom to 3 children. My son is an M.D. at UAB. My two daughters work in healthcare and I have an 8 year old grandson and a 1 year old granddaughter! I love to be outdoors and enjoy Bible studies.
