In accordance with the U.S. Department of Education, the Colbert County School System allocates funding to ensure that all children have a fair and equal opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at minimum, proficiency in challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. This funding is referred to Title I Funds.

New Bethel Elementary School
School-wide programming is available to schools where at least 40% of student enrollment comes from low-income households. 75.67% of students enrolled in Colbert County Schools meet the low-income qualifications. In School-Wide Programs, all students within the school benefit from Title I Funds. Title I funding is allocated in the following ways; to reduce class size reduction ratio, instructional materials and supplies, professional development, and parent and family engagement.
