The Colbert County School System provides its students with transportation to and from their schools each day. The transportation department has 52 buses, 33 of which run daily and midday routes serving approximately 1,200 students. On average, our buses travel 1,296 miles a day running their routes serving our 9 schools in the system. We also have 3 handicapped accessible buses, each with 2 staff members certified to drive the bus, running 3 routes for our students. All of our route buses are air-conditioned and there are 10 spare buses that are used for various school functions (i.e field trips, sporting events, band trips, etc.)
