My name is Courtney Keenum, and it is my pleasure to be your child’s music teacher this year! Every student attends music for 30 minutes with their homeroom class each week. We love exploring different genres of music within our “Musician of the Month” curriculum while discussing artists such as Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, and Michael Jackson (just to name a few)! We also learn to play classroom instruments and read/describe written music through the use of music vocabulary and movement exercises.
