I see our school system as a special group of people, very similar to a family, who have dedicated their lives to the service of educating children and helping them to grow up to be happy and productive citizens. To accomplish this requires the strength of everyone's individual effort on a daily basis. Working together and supporting one another's efforts are foundational elements to the overall success of our goal of providing a meaningful educational experience for all our students. Education is about people, not programs, and the strength of the whole group is based on the quality of the relationships between its members.

As superintendent, it is my duty to set the proper tone and expectations for our school system. So, I ask you to join my effort to build and strengthen our relationships as we all do our part on behalf of our students. I am proud to be a part of the Colbert County School System, where I believe we have a unique set of talents, skills, and opportunities to offer.
