  • CCS Pre-K Registration

    Registration for CCS' raward-winning Pre-K programs is now open! Visit the link below to Pre-Register. Random drawing is March 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Board of Education located at 425 Hwy 72 West, Tuscumbia.

  • CCS First in Nation to Achieve District STEM Certification

    CCS recently completed the National Institute of STEM Education (NISE) certification. This incredible achievement recognizes CCS as the first in the country to achieve district-wide certification. Along with each campus' certification, individual teachers also completed the rigorous certification process to become NISE-Certified Teachers

  • CCS Teachers Nationally Board Certified

    Four additional CCS educators recently achieved another pinnacle of success by completing National Board Certification. New Bethel Interventionist Brittany Leathers, Teacher Breanne Owen, Colbert Heights Elementary Reading Specialist Lori South, and Colbert Heights High School Teacher Laura James, attended the National Board Certification ceremony at the Alabama Governor's Mansion in Montogomery.

    CLASSIFIED - Any position that DOES NOT REQUIRE a valid Alabama Teacher Certificate such as positions in the Business Office, Secretaries, Lunchroom, Maintenance, Technology, Paraprofessionals, Transportation, & School Nurses. Some classified positions may require specific licensure & professional certifications.

    CERTIFIED - Any position that REQUIRES a valid Alabama Teacher Certificate such as Classroom Teacher, Media Specialist, Counselor, Coach, & Instructional Coach. Certified positions typically require specific endorsements related to the type of Alabama Teaching Certificate of an individual.

    ADMINISTRATIVE - Any position that REQUIRES a valid Alabama Teacher Certificate PLUS an Administrative Certification through an accredited institution. Administrative positions include Principal, Assistant Principal, or Central Office Director and typically require additional years of educator experience.
