My name is Wesley Withers, the School Resource Officer of Colbert Heights High School. I have a total of 17 years in both Law Enforcement and Corrections. This is my 3rd year as a SRO and love every minute of it. I currently have the rank of Sergeant and supervisor of the SRO’s.I grew up in Florence. I attended Hibbett from kindergarten to 4th grade, Forest Hill for 5th grade, and back to Hibbett for 6th to 8th grade. I attended Bradshaw High School through my junior year but graduated at Florence High School. I moved to Lincoln, Nebraska after high school and went to the University of Nebraska for one year.I loved playing sports growing up, but football was my passion. I played youth, high school, practice squad at Nebraska, and 4 years in semi-pro football. Playing three years in the NAFL with the Nebraska Renegades and one year in the AFL with the Nebraska Hornets. My passion now would be spending time with family, hunting, and fishing. As the SRO for Colbert Heights High School my goals are building relationships with students, creating a positive school environment, and connecting with students, school staff, and the Colbert Heights community. I love getting in the classroom and teaching our students. But, my most important job is keeping our children safe.
