It is my pleasure to serve Hatton Elementary School as principal this year!  This is my 26th year in education and second year in educational leadership. Prior to becoming a principal, I was an assistant principal, interventionist, reading specialist, and classroom teacher. I have loved each and every one of my experiences. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Athens State, a Master’s Of Education from the University of West Alabama, and Instructional Leadership Certification from the University of West Alabama. 

My husband, Alan, and I have been married for 28 years.  We are blessed with two amazing daughters and one fantastic son-in-law.  They are the loves of my life.  My expectations for my own children are the same as I have for yours.  I want to see each of them excel and become productive humans, who have unlimited opportunities to become whatever their hearts desire.  I want them all to dream big and then work hard to accomplish those dreams.  

It is my honor to lead Hatton Elementary. It is a true “gem” and I feel blessed to work alongside the many talented staff members each and every day. My goal is to continue to provide a supportive environment and culture that is conducive to teaching and learning.
