    Hatton Elementary School

It is my pleasure to serve Hatton Elementary School as principal this year!  This is my 25th year in education and second year in educational leadership. Prior to becoming a principal, I was an assistant principal, interventionist, reading specialist, and classroom teacher. I have loved each and every one of my experiences. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Athens State, a Master’s Of Education from the University of West Alabama, and Instructional Leadership Certification from the University of West Alabama.

My husband, Alan, and I have been married for 28 years.  We are blessed with two amazing daughters and one fantastic son-in-law.  They are the loves of my life.  My expectations for my own children are the same as I have for yours.  I want to see each of them excel and become productive humans, who have unlimited opportunities to become whatever their hearts desire.  I want them all to dream big and then work hard to accomplish those dreams.

It is my honor to lead Hatton Elementary. It is a true “gem” and I feel blessed to work alongside the many talented staff members each and every day. My goal is to continue to provide a supportive environment and culture that is conducive to teaching and learning.

“When we all work together at HES, The Sky’s the Limit!”
